Columbia Fire Department Holds Traditional Badge Pinning Ceremony

Columbia Fire Department Promotes 72 Members

 

Columbia Fire Chief Aubrey Jenkins and members of his Command Staff held a traditional Badge Pinning Ceremony at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on Thursday, March 9, 2017 for 72 members of the Columbia Fire Department who were recently promoted.

 

Chief Jenkins said “It takes a very special person to be a firefighter; someone who loves to help people and also has the courage to face the unknown with confidence and determination. Today’s promotional ceremony honors the great achievements and commitment of these Firefighters to the Columbia Fire Department and to the citizens of the City of Columbia and Richland County.¬† I congratulate each of you and thank you for your service.”
